Resident Evil Racist? Hardly…
GamePolitics pointed out a post over at Black Looks where a writer is calling out Resident Evil for being racist, or rather “bringing up the concern.” What most posts are missing, however, is how the author does not claim to be racist, but yet she posts a comment within the forums stating “Yes… I am more comfortable with the zombies being white. In fact, ALL zombies should be white from this day forth.” — Okay, exactly who is the racist here?
She follows up with another article talking about all the “hate” speech she received after her initial post, assuming to “clarify the racism” within the gaming community. Unfortunately, she fails to ignore the hate and read all the reasonable comments. I read through her comments, many of them were pretty strong, but every single one of them had one theme in common — The game isn’t racist, she is. There isn’t one comment that I saw which agreed with her.
Maybe, just maybe, she’ll get her high horse and realize who’s the one really being racist here. Well, we can only hope, no?
